Located in Welch, this downhill ski resort is very popular and will provide you with the perfect snow to get your skiing or snowboarding in. Welch Village has 140 acres of slopes for you to ski!


Snowshoeing

Put away your hiking boots and trade them in for a nice pair of snowshoes. You can enjoy the same parks and hiking trails as you did in the summertime. Try out Frontenac State Park, Memorial Park, Baypoint Park or Colvill Park for some beautiful nature views!

You can drive right across the bridge into Maiden Rock, WI to see some cool ice sculptures. Nelson’s on Rush River offers dozens of ice sculptures that form up from an artesian well. They are like frozen fountains rising up like an icicle. Definitely a winter must see!

You can choose from The Marine Museum, the Pottery Museum, The Aliveo Military Mueseum or The Goodhue Country Historical Society! Red Wing is know for the historic Sheldon Theatre. Built in 1908, it is one of the few left from it’s era to still be in use for live performances. This theatre in the downtown is stunning! Find a show while you are in town and visit. Definitely a must see while in town!


Ice Fishing on the Mississippi

 Red Wing is right on The Mississippi River and Lake Pepin. Bring your poles and enjoy some time ice fishing! Nothing is better than a little outdoor time in the Winter.
